It was worth it.
I love Sonic.
It's like the old days when I was growing up when they used to have car hops going everywhere.
It was a popular thing.
Bob's Big Boy used to be a car hop (the one in Burbank).
That's why they have those stands where the parking spaces are.
I can't describe them but it's where they used to ride up to you.
After we went to Sonic, we went shooting in Kern County.
In the middle of the desert.
I didn't do any shooting.
I did not participate.
I was really - besides being nervous - I was tired and thirsty and weak.
I learned a valuable lesson:
Never eat onions rings or onions before going to the desert and if you do, bring a drink with you.
Next time I'm going to have fries instead of onion rings.
And NO ONIONS ON THE BURGER!
What do they do in the winter time?
I wonder how they do it.
How do people eat in their cars? It's so messy.
And then we stopped at Albertsons. That's on the road that goes to Gorman.

Where did the mail go?
I checked the mailbox today at a quarter to six.
That's the same as 5:45.
But it was empty!
I was wondering where the mail went.
I asked Lori if she knew where the mail was.
She didn't know where it was.
So I asked her if she had seen the mail today?
She didn't give me an answer.
I asked Lori if Pam took the mail somewhere.
Lori said she didn't know or care.
I think she was mad at me.
I asked Eric if he had seen the mail.
Eric said he saw the mail but he doesn't remember where it was.
I think Eric was pulling my leg.
I wanted to know what was in the mail.
I wasn't expecting anything important,
but you never know what could be in the mail.

I decide to drive close to the border.
Traffic was horrendous in the Valley.
I couldn't get on the 101 or the 405, so I had to take the Sepulveda pass all the way past Santa Monica Blvd. I forgot which on ramp I took to get on the freeway.
I ate at Angelo's Hamburgers (but they have a lot more than hamburgers) in Oceanside. Angelo has three restaurants in very close proximity: one on the west side of PCH and 2 on the other side... or is it the other way around?
It was pretty clear and cool going all the way down, and I forget where I got off, but I got gas somewhere in San Diego. I took my sweet time. Then I went back on the freeway going south on the 5 all the way to the last USA exit on the 5. There was a sign that said, "Entering Mexico" just before I got to the border. I was still in the United States, but I didn't go under the sign that said "Entering Mexico."
I never knew there was an 805 freeway! I wondered where the heck does it go? I didn't get on it because I didn't know where it was going to take me. I wanted to return home.
I know there was going to be the last USA exit. I didn't know where the 805 would take me.
I decided not to take the 805 because I didn't feel like experimenting. I wanted to take the 805 but I was worried of where I would end up. There were many places I could have stopped at on the way, but I wanted to stay focused on my goal of going as close to the border as possible. My second goal, obviously after that was to enjoy as much of the coast highway as I could find.

There are coyotes outside
I went to bed last night but I couldn't sleep.
There were coyotes on the hillside.
They were making lots of howling noises
and I was afraid they were going to come in the trailer and get me.
I got out of bed to check that my front door was locked three times.
I also checked all of the windows.
I hope they won't be waiting for me in the morning.
I will have to run really fast to my car.

The best restaurant
I like Carls Jr.
It has good food.
I like their cheeseburger.
And their fries are good.
I mostly eat there because it's in the same parking lot as Ralphs.
But my real favorite restaurant, the best restaurant in the world, is McDonalds.
McDonalds is perfect.
Their cheeseburger is the best.
I like how they use lots of ketchup.
And the fries taste great.
And they have a really good coke there.
The coke is better than Carls's coke.
It has a little bit more fizz in it.

Peaches in the Laundry Room
I went into the laundry room today.
Peaches was in the litter box in the dark.
She looked up at me and stopped what she was doing.
I said hello to Peaches.
She didn't move.
But then she did the strangest thing.
Peaches got out of the litter box and walked around in a circle.
Then she walked right past me!
She is such an amazing smart kitty.
How can a cat be so smart?

My day
My shift at Ralphs started today at 10:00 am.
So I got up at 4 am to get ready.
I took a shower and then shaved and then I brushed my teeth.
I walked to my Kia and it was smiling at me.
So I stood in front of the Kia and smiled back at it for a while.
I'm not sure how long I stared at it, but
the headlamps on the Kia are gorgeous.
I can just stare at those headlamps all day long.
I got in my car and went to Carls Jr.
I had one Breakfast Burger, 2 Monster Breakfast Sandwiches, a Sunrise Croissant and 2 Hash Brown Nuggets.
I dipped the Hash Brown Nuggets in a lot of Ketchup.
I washed them down with a cup of Coca Cola.
It was a very satisfying meal.
I walked across the parking lot to Ralphs at 7 am.
I know I can't clock in until 10, but I wanted to see if my paycheck was there.
My paycheck wasn't ready yet.
So I sat in the employees room until 10.
